Natalie Milligan | Assistant Coach

I have held the position of assistant coach since qualifying in January 2021.

You may see me on court assisting Head Coach Faris McGrath when required at his junior group coaching
​and social sessions, or at school assistingwith his popular after - school clubs. I also manage the coaching program administration.

Playing

I started playing Tennis at Hazel Grove Bowling & Tennis Club as a Junior Member from a young age. I enjoyed attending group coaching sessions, playing for the Junior Team and amongst my peers at the weekly Junior Social Sessions. 

My enthusiasm for the sport diminished around age 11 years resulting in a big break from playing until I started playing again in May 2020 whilst introducing my 5 year old daughter to the sport. 

Since then I have enjoyed playing socially with club members, attending group coaching and played competitively for our Mixed Winter League Team and Ladies Summer League Team. I genuinely wished I’d started playing years earlier. 

Coaching

It wasn’t ever my intention to become an Assistant Coach, but the opportunity presented itself through my involvement with Hazel Grove Bowling & Tennis Club. The coaching provider required assistance and I stepped in and gained the Level 1 Award in Coaching Tennis in January 2021. 
This has enabled me to help assistant at group coaching which I really enjoy.

  • Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) Certificate No. 3421212 Qualification No. 603/2367/X
